Quick checks
Play one string, mute the others and let the note settle. If the detected octave differs from the target, stop the previous note and play the requested note again. In intonation, capture the open reference before each fresh comparison and leave the tuning pegs unchanged during the fretted checks.
Microphone access is managed in your device’s Settings. For a USB audio interface, choose the instrument’s input channel in SetupSmith Settings.
Contact support
Email snake@snakejohns.com and include:
- your device model and iOS or iPadOS version
- the SetupSmith version and build shown in Settings
- instrument type, tuning and the stage or intonation method in use
- microphone or audio interface details
- what you expected and what happened
- a screenshot when useful
Avoid including private notes or a complete backup unless you intend to share that information.
For physical adjustments, follow the instrument maker’s instructions. A resistant truss rod, fixed saddle alteration or uncertain mechanical problem deserves a qualified instrument technician.
