Getting Started with SetupSmith
Start a setup, choose strings and tuning, and move through the stages.
Start a setup
- Open Setup Instrument on Home.
- Choose the instrument, string count and tuning. A setup name is optional.
- Tap Start Setup.
- Tune the strings. Tap Strings Tuned when ready; another tuner can also be used.
- Choose the next stage from the stage menu or use the arrows at the bottom.
Use Tune on Home when you only need the tuner. Continue Setup resumes unfinished work.
Work on one task at a time
Setup stages keep the active task on screen. Use the item menu or Back and Continue controls to move between strings, pickup sides or final-check questions. The question-mark button opens the stage guide. Long guidance can scroll within its reading sheet while the page controls stay available.
The header gear includes instrument and tuning, measurement frets, summary, Settings, skipping and discarding. Appearance and app icons are in Settings.
Finish or save
From Final Check, open the setup summary. Save Setup keeps a reference in Saved Setups; Done closes without adding history. You may finish with open or skipped stages, which remain identified in the summary.
