SetupSmith helps musicians work through an instrument setup in a useful order: Tune → Relief → Action → Intonation → Pickup Height → Final Check.
Tune. Measure. Adjust. Play.
Choose your instrument, strings and tuning, then start. No account or permanent instrument profile is required. Home, tuning and setup stages keep the current task on screen, with settings available from the header gear.
A tuner for both approaches
Switch between a needle and strobe display. Use automatic string targeting, choose a specific string, or tune chromatically. Pitch is analyzed on your device; microphone audio is never recorded or uploaded.
Measure with context
Record relief, each string’s action and pickup height in millimeters or inches. Save a setup as an optional reference for next time. Choose your maker’s relief and action measurement frets, and keep those locations with the measurements.
Intonation across the neck
Use a standard open-to-12th-fret comparison, compare the fretted 12th note with its harmonic, or record frets 7 and 12 and balance their errors. Each round keeps its measured reference and readings together.
Move freely
Revisit any stage, skip what does not apply and retune when needed. Earlier physical changes recommend rechecks without discarding your measurements. Unfinished work saves locally so you can resume later.
Keep useful references
Save a setup when you like the result. Export local backups to Files and import them without replacing existing work. Settings includes themes, app icons, units, reference pitch, haptics and USB interface input channel selection.
SetupSmith is coming soon for iPhone and iPad. Pricing will be announced at release.
