Quick Start

A five-minute path from an empty library to a useful first Praxis session.

If you want to get moving fast, focus on just three things:

Open or import your library so your songs are available in Praxis.
Pick a playlist or song and start playback.
Use the player controls to jump around, loop sections, and adjust tempo or pitch as needed.

That is enough to begin using Praxis right away. You can come back later for deeper topics like MIDI, tabs, Praxis Remote, and Importing and Exporting.

Praxis Free supports up to 12 songs. The rest of the workflow is available while you decide whether you need Praxis Unlimited.

If you work from sheet music, see PDF Scores for the fastest way to add a score tab and start placing manual scroll timestamps. Praxis can optionally remaster a multipage PDF into one continuous light and dark score while preserving the original.

The Short Version

Start in the Song Library.
Click ▶ All for the current view, or select the songs you want to practice and click ▶ Selected.
Use Shift-click for a range and Command-click to add or remove individual songs.
Play them back and make small adjustments only when you need them.
If you have an iPhone nearby, set up Praxis Remote later for hands-free control.
