Passage has not been released
Passage: Podcasts & Books is in development. No public release date has been announced. The product page will link to the official store destination when available. There is no public TestFlight enrollment promised by this manual.
The app is being developed for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with a CarPlay interface driven by the phone. Current build targets are iOS/iPadOS 17 and macOS 14 or later; final supported systems and hardware will be confirmed with the release listing. A build target is not proof that every minimum-version device has completed qualification.
Implemented does not mean release-qualified
The development app includes discovery and RSS, named follows and rules, playlists, downloads, imported audiobooks, sound controls, rich metadata, optional library sync, and a separate book-file option. The guides describe these capabilities and their boundaries.
Gap Reduction remains unqualified and disabled for downloaded episodes in ordinary Release builds. Ad-aware seeking still requires broader quality validation. Final physical audio/CarPlay routes, paired-device scenarios, purchase/restore behavior, accessibility checks, production iCloud configuration, and store distribution work remain part of release readiness.
Advanced services such as native chat/social providers, wallet adapters, Podping reception, and trusted-key PGP verification remain roadmap work. Rich feed parsing does not make all of these services available.
Pricing and support
Passage is being built as a free app with every feature included and optional one-time support purchases. Localized support prices, release store destinations, availability by territory, and the final launch configuration will be confirmed at release.
Documentation updates
These pages were prepared from the current development source and recent implementation reports. They will evolve with the release build. The coming-soon notice remains on every Passage guide so an individual article cannot be mistaken for an already released product.
