Themes, App Icons, and Library Layout
Personalize Passage’s presentation while keeping follows, playlists, and listening state intact.
Coming soon. Passage has not been released. This guide previews the current development version; controls and availability may change before launch.
Make the library comfortable
Appearance settings let you choose a supported theme and personalize how the library is presented. Available options differ by platform because Mac uses a native sidebar while phone/tablet use touch-oriented library navigation.
Library settings include visibility and ordering choices for supported sections. Hiding a section changes navigation; it does not delete its books, follows, or playlists. If something seems missing after a layout change, check section visibility before removing or reimporting data.
Themes and icons
Themes change the app’s presentation. Supported app-icon choices give the iOS app another personal touch. An icon selection is a platform feature; do not assume the Mac’s bundle icon or every other device changes with it.
Appearance does not change the audio source or whether Voice Enhance, Volume Leveling, Smart Seek, or Gap Reduction applies. Those are playback settings with their own scope.
Ordering and accessibility
Use the app’s supported reorder controls to arrange collections and library tabs. Where a drag gesture is awkward, explicit ordering commands can offer another route. Large text can change how many controls fit on a screen; allow labels to wrap and inspect the full setting before choosing an action.
Passage includes accessibility work in shared views, transcripts, and reduced-motion behavior, with broader real-device qualification still underway. If a control is unclear with VoiceOver or large text, report the screen, platform, text-size setting, and expected action.
What can travel through iCloud
Supported theme/global preferences can sync when enabled. Device-specific choices are not automatically universal: Mac output settings and Up Next remain local, and icon parity is not promised. When two devices look different, check their respective presentation options rather than assuming their library content diverged.
