Coming soon. Passage has not been released. These controls describe the current development version.
Keep listening local
Core listening does not require a Passage account. Leave optional library/listening sync and the separate audiobook-file option off if you want to use Passage without these iCloud features. Directory, RSS, episode, artwork, and remote-document requests still contact their providers when you use them.
Stop future sync
Turn off library/listening sync on each device that should stop participating. Turn off audiobook file transfer separately on each device. These are independent choices. Disabling either feature is not the same as deleting data already stored in iCloud.
Before turning off a device you are about to erase, preserve local source audio and any available metadata backup. A queued offline edit may not yet have reached the other devices.
Remove local files
Use Remove Download for downloaded podcast audio. Use the relevant local-removal control for imported audio or an audiobook copy. Check the action’s scope: removing a playlist selection, unfollowing a show, marking an item played, and removing its stored audio are different operations.
Deliberate local audiobook removal suppresses automatic redownload on that device. It does not remove a separately stored cloud copy. Independently retained audio files and exports remain wherever you put them.
Remove cloud book files
Use Passage’s cloud-copy management to remove the audiobook copy held in its iCloud Drive storage. This operation is separate from local removal and from synced library/listening records. Current controls can keep local audio and library state while removing the cloud file copy.
If you want a complete cleanup, check every participating device, separately stored library records, exported files, and Apple’s storage/backup settings. Passage does not currently promise a single “delete everything everywhere” button. Ask support before a broad reset if you are unsure what a control will remove.
Library records, accounts, and purchases
Passage has no developer-managed account to close. Your Apple Account, iCloud storage, operating-system backups, and purchase history are controlled through Apple. Supported in-app library deletions and cloud-file removal have different scopes; simply uninstalling does not establish that either cloud store is empty.
Permanent keepsake restoration uses Apple purchase entitlements. Removing local app data does not cancel or erase Apple’s transaction record. Send Thanks is a consumable one-time purchase; it is not a recurring subscription.
Notifications and external copies
Disable follow or live-event notifications in Passage, or change notification authorization in system settings. Delete OPML exports, metadata backups, and audio exports from their chosen destinations when you no longer need them. Cloud-provider trash, version history, backups, and recipient copies follow the respective provider’s rules.
Contact about support information
For questions or requests about information you sent directly to support, email snake@snakejohns.com. Identify the relevant correspondence without including passwords, private feed tokens, or payment-card details. I can help with support records and explain controls, but cannot directly erase private files held only in your Apple Account.
